Taking a multivitamin containing niacin (Vitamin B3) alongside rosuvastatin may increase the risk of muscle-related side effects. Additionally, if the multivitamin contains minerals like magnesium or aluminium (often found in antacids), they can interfere with how much rosuvastatin your body absorbs.

Why this happens
Niacin and statins both have the potential to affect muscle tissue; when used together, this effect can be additive, leading to muscle pain or weakness. Furthermore, certain minerals can bind to rosuvastatin in the digestive tract, reducing its effectiveness.
What you should do
