There is no known interaction between biotin and rosuvastatin (Crestor). Taking these two together is generally considered safe.

Why this happens
Biotin is a water-soluble B-vitamin (B7) that is processed by the body differently than rosuvastatin. Rosuvastatin is a statin medication used to lower cholesterol. They do not interfere with each other's absorption, breakdown in the liver, or removal from the body.
What you should do
Back to contentsYou can continue to take both as prescribed. However, be aware that high doses of biotin can interfere with certain blood tests (such as thyroid or heart enzyme tests). If you are having blood work done, tell your doctor or the laboratory staff that you are taking a biotin supplement.
